Before the season takes off, we asked Bobcat defensive back Josh Kristoff and center Lucas Powell a couple of lighter questions about what they are like off the field.

Q: So, who is your celebrity crush?

Powell: Oh man, that’s a tough one. Can we come back to that?

Kristoff: Alex Morgan, the soccer player.

Q: Complete this sentence: “Johnny Manziel is…”

Powell: an NFL quarterback.

Kristoff: a quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, nice and professional. But I’m a big Manziel fan. It seems like he works hard off the field, and on the field he’s fun to watch. And then he also has a good time off the field.

Q: What is your favorite movie?

Powell: I’d have to say "300."

Kristoff: "The Sandlot."

Q: If you could play any other sport in college, which would you choose?

Powell: Wrestling, definitely. I wrestled in high school and would definitely wrestle in college if I had the chance.

Kristoff: Baseball, 100 percent.

Q: So what is your favorite baseball team?

Kristoff: Chicago Cubs, unfortunately. It’s been rough for a long time now.

Q: What is your favorite music to listen to?

Powell: Rap, just any kind of rap music.

Kristoff: Either Eric Church or Florida Georgia Line. I’m a big country guy right now.

Q: Okay, so Biggie or Tupac?

Powell: Biggie.

Q: Who is your favorite person to follow on Twitter?

Powell: Probably all the NFL guys I follow. I follow a lot of NFL linemen, especially. I just love to see what they say and see what they go through in their daily life.

Kristoff: Honestly, I like ESPN. I like getting a lot of updates on what’s going on.

Q: Which MAC team has the ugliest jerseys?

Powell: I don’t like Western (Michigan)’s colors. Yeah, that brown…

Kristoff: Western Michigan has some pretty ugly colors, so I’ll go with them.

Q: Which conference team besides Miami (OH) are you most looking forward to playing against?

Powell: The first one against Kent State. Yep, August 30. First game.

Kristoff: Kent State. The first game. If they’re not our biggest rival, they are a close second. We’re opening August 30 against them, and I can’t wait.
