A familiar face will be back on the sidelines for the Ohio men’s basketball team this season, as former Bobcat David McKinley has joined Saul Phillips’ coaching staff as a graduate assistant.

McKinley spent four years with the team after joining the team as a walk-on in 2009, serving as the team captain for two years. In those four years, the Bobcats made three postseason appearances including a Sweet 16 berth in 2012. McKinley played in 16 games and went 4-for-4 from 3-point range in his senior season.

The former point guard comes to Coach Phillips’ staff with coaching experience, as he spent the past year as an assistant coach for Hidden Gems, a Columbus AAU program.
