The 2014 Third Thursday Event Series continues in downtown Circleville on Aug. 21 with the annual "Taste of Pickaway,” which features delicious food items from area eateries.
Many of the restaurants are working with the Ohio Fresh Food Corridor to promote the inclusion of fresh produce and vegetables from area growers, so look for fresh sweet corn, melons, and fruit, along with delicious BBQ beef and pork, burgers, chicken, lasagna and more.
Soft drinks, iced tea, and other beverages will be available, including The Budweiser Beer Station with a variety of beers.
This popular event has an admission price with proceeds to benefit area non-profit organizations and the Pickaway County Welcome Center.
All Third Thursday events will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. in downtown Circleville at their new and larger location at 120 E. Franklin Street.
In case of a rainout, it will be held the following night on Friday, or, if necessary, Saturday. The Third Thursday Marketplace will return this year, featuring unique items for sale from area businesses.
Musical entertainment will be provided by the Pickaway Classic Rock Revue, featuring area musicians from popular local bands such as Majic Souls, Gold Rush, Time Machine, The Stoneys, Sweet Sixteen and the House Band.
The final Third Thursday event for this year will be on Thursday, Sept. 18, with the Pickaway County Pizza Challenge, featuring the area pizza establishments competing for prizes.
