Winter may be over, but many Athens County farmers are still feeling its wrath.

January's sub-zero temperatures wiped out crops across the state. Athens farmer's were hit especially hard.

Peach farmers report they've lost nearly all of their fruits. Blackberry farmers lost about 80% of their crop, and beekeepers say more than half of their hives have died.

This summer's unusually cool temperatures also affected crops like sweet potatoes and peppers.

Most report they've been forced to rely on other crops to make ends meet.

Peach and Berry farmers says though their fruits died off, their trees and bushes survived the cold.

They expect their yields to return to normal next season.
