Power Outage Planned For Athens

AEP Press Release — AEP customers in the city of Athens will be impacted by a planned power outage on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 6-7 a.m. AEP will be performing maintenance work on lines at the Clark Station, including changing a breaker tie. It will impact all of the city at some point.

A total of five circuits will be undergoing maintenance. Two circuits going off at 6 a.m. for anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Then, at 6:30 a.m., the other three circuits will go off for anywhere from 5-30 minutes. These outages are for switching, to allow the load to be picked up from other circuits.
