ARTS/West Hosting Thomas Ansel Exhibit

Ansel’s exhibit, Found and Lost, will be on display through Nov. 30.
According to Ansel’s artist statement, his work examines the intricate relationship between the artist and a wide variety of raw materials, including found objects and a variety of new materials.
“The artworks appear to contain bits of knowledge from a long lost tale or proverb and data or information from the modern or future eras. Frequently they evoke the mystery of unknown meaning. He desires to leave the viewer with both philosophical and phenomenological quandaries,” reads the statement.
