Couple Charged With Mistreatment And Theft

Athens County Prosecutor’s Office Press Release – Jerry Campbell, 43, and Shannon Campbell, 37, of Nelsonville were each indicted by an Athens County Grand Jury charging two (2) counts of Failing to Provide for Functionally Impaired Person, felonies of the fourth degree; one (1) count of Theft from the Elderly or Disabled Person, a felony of the third degree; one (1) count of Robbery, a felony of the second degree, and one (1) count of Illegal Use of Food Stamps, a felony of the fifth degree.

The Campbells are charged with failing to provide Rosemary Vincent with care, treatment, goods, or services needed to maintain her health and safety, and the failure to do so resulted in Ms. Vincent’s death. Additionally, the Campbells stole Ms. Vincent’s social security and used her state issued food stamps beyond the scope of her consent.

Jerry and Shannon Campbell are due to appear in front of Judges Lang and McCarthy for arraignment March 4, 2015.
