Celebrate New Concord to Host Celtic Group July 21

Celtic music group The Ladies of Longford will make their Muskingum County debut during Celebrate New Concord, the summer entertainment series now in its 15th season.

The concert is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21 at 7 p.m. in Village Park.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, The Ladies of Longford have been serving up a unique blend of both traditional and contemporary music for 12 years. The Ladies perform Irish music along with various other genres, such as country, classic rock and Americana.

The group features Hilda Doyle, guitar and vocals; Stephanie Doyle, vocals and bass; Heather Doyle Fraser, vocals and djembe drum; Elizabeth Blickenstaff, fiddle; and Molly Pauken, drums and bass.

This event is free and open to the public.  Visitors should bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. In the event of bad weather, the performance will be moved into the firehouse at the park. Food service will be provided by the National Trail Ruritan Club, with proceeds benefiting the New
Concord Food Pantry.
