The landscape of the MAC East changed rather significantly Monday afternoon, as the 2014 MAC Player of the Year, Justin Moss, was dismissed from Buffalo’s basketball team.

Moss, who averaged 17.5 points and 9.2 rebounds last season, was dismissed from the team in relation to his involvement in an on-campus robbery. In June, Moss and fellow Bulls basketball players Raheem Johnson and Mory Diane stole money from a dorm room. The incident violated Moss’ probation from another theft.

John DellaContrada, UB’s associate vice president for media relations, noted that Moss is also no longer a student at the University of Buffalo. Johnson and Diane, though, are both still members of the basketball team and enrolled at the university.

This incident is just another in an offseason of attrition for the Bulls. In April, former head coach Bobby Hurley left UB to become the head coach Arizona State.
