After their best season in program history, which led to their first Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament title in over 30 years, the Ohio Women’s basketball team announced their schedule for the 2015-2016 season Friday afternoon.

Defending MAC Coach of the year Bob Boldon and his team will start the season off on Sunday November 15th when they travel to Champagne, Ill. to take on the Illinois from the Big Ten Conference.

The Bobcats will be competing in three tournaments throughout the season. The first one will be the Akron Classic, where they will face Florida Gulf Coast and Winthrop on back to back days in Akron, Ohio on November 20th and 21st respectively.

Bob’s Ballers will then travel to Nashville, Tenn. where they will compete in the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament. Ohio will face another Big Ten team in Indiana and take on Vanderbilt during the holiday.

The Bobcats will play their first game at the Convo following the Thanksgiving tournament on December 3rd against the IPFW Mastodons. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Two weeks after their home opener, the Bobcats will travel to Wilmington, N.C to compete in their third tournament of the season, the Seahawks Hampton Inn Christmas Invitational. Ohio will take on the host UNC-Wilmington in the first game of the Invitational and will play East Carolina in the second game.

The ECU Pirates trumped the Bobcats last season, leaving Athens with a 76-68 victory.

Ohio will open MAC play at home in the New Year on Jan. 2nd when Western Michigan will visit the Convo. The Bobcats lost to the Broncos 61-51 in Kalamazoo last season.

It will be a rematch of the MAC Championship game on Jan. 13th when Ohio will travel to Ypsilanti, Mich. to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Bobcats and Eagles split both regular season games last season, with the road teams winning each game.

The Bobcats will finish of the season and MAC play on Feb. 17th with the next installment of the Battle of the Bricks Rivalry when Miami visits Athens.
