AYER, Mass. (AP) – A Massachusetts man police say stabbed his brother, raped a woman, kidnapped them both, and then fled to Ohio is going before a judge.

Police say 21-year-old Kevin Blakemore is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Ayer District Court on charges including attempted murder, aggravated rape and kidnapping.

Blakemore was returned to Massachusetts on Wednesday.

Authorities have said Blakemore stabbed his adoptive brother, Ken Herbison, in their Boxborough apartment on Aug. 21, and then raped a woman in the apartment.

He allegedly drove both to Pike County, Ohio, where he once lived. There, he is charged with stealing a police vehicle and escape.

Blakemore is being held without bail. It could not immediately be determined if he has a lawyer in Massachusetts.
