The Marauders earned their spot at the top of the TVC-Ohio by beating River Valley in a come-from-behind victory.
2.) Alexander Spartans 4-1 (2-0) | Last Rank: 3 | Next Opponent: @ Vinton County
Defense is the priority for Alexander and for the second consecutive week, the Spartans contained a previously explosive offense. Wellston had been averaging 36.5 prior to its match-up against Alexander when it was held to just 20 points.

Turnovers proved to be costly against Meigs, but a closely contested game proved the Raiders aren’t a fluke.

After a turbulent week off the field combined with a game against a probable playoff team in Logan, Nelsonville-York will look to move on. However, Nelsonville-York’s 28 points on Friday stands as a season high.

Wellston’s 20 points against Alexander is tied for its lowest point total of the season.
