The 10th in a series of competitions, OH+5 ’16 is a regional all-media and juried exhibition of contemporary artwork. This exhibition, scheduled to open in January, serves to promote artists residing in Ohio and the five states that border Ohio: Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

OH+5 ’16 will feature new work that provides the viewer with an appreciation of the variety of media, techniques and innovative trends in contemporary art.

“We are very excited to announce our three jurors from the best museums in our nation and an experienced local resident,” said Jane Forrest Redfern, executive director of The Dairy Barn Arts Center.

The three jurors include: Susan Crehan-Hostetler, gallery director for Hostetler Gallery in Nantucket, Massachusetts and Athens, Ohio; Bill Horrigan, curator-at-large at the Wexner Center, Columbus, Ohio; and Bartholomew Ryan, Milton Fine Curator of Art, Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“We believe these jurors will bring something very special to our upcoming exhibition opening in January 2016 at the Dairy Barn Arts Center,” said Forrest Redfern.

Up to three pieces are allowed for submission with a deadline of Nov. 16, 2015 at 5 p.m. Entry rules, submission forms and payment information are available at dairybarn.org.

Best of Show, Innovative Use of Material, Jurors’ Awards and People’s Choice will be awarded at the opening on January 16, 2016.

All artists that live or work in Ohio or bordering states are welcome to enter. All media will be considered.
