The past week was a difficult one for Eastern to swallow as the Eagles went winless in three games losing to Belpre, Wahama and Wellston.

Belpre defeated Eastern in a game that went into double-overtime on Tuesday. The Eagles kept the game close as their largest deficit after a quarter was only four points when they were down 17-13 at the end of the first. The two teams went back-and-forth trading the lead throughout. The game was tied at 65 entering the second overtime, however, Eastern only scored three points to Belpre’s 12 in the period and the Eagles fell 77-68.

Even with the loss, it means the Eagles are able to play competitively with almost any team in the TVC.

Three days later, the Eastern traveled to Wahama to play in what would be yet another close competition. The Eagles were defeated 36-34 by the White Falcons.

The following day, Eastern hosted Wellston. The win for the Rockets marked their second straight as they came out victorious 60-48.

The Eagles are still winless on the season with an overall record of 0-5. With the three losses, the Eagles need to go back to practice and figure out how they might be able to win in a tough TVC-Hocking.

Eastern’s schedule does get some days off, but it won’t get any easier when the Eagle will host TVC-Hocking Powerhouse Trimble on Dec. 18th.
