An opening reception for For the Love of Athens County, a smart device photo exhibit, is scheduled for Feb. 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at ARTS/West.

In November, ARTS/West sent out a call for people who had taken photos on their smart devices of their favorite spots in Athens County. The subject matter could be any person, place or thing.

Seventy-three photos were submitted. Out of that total, 32 were chosen by jurors to be hung in the gallery space. The other 41 will be included in a slide show that will run during the opening reception.

The exhibit will be displayed in the ARTS/West gallery space from Feb. 4 through Feb. 26, Business hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. For extended hours, phone 740-592-4315.

The opening reception is free to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
