Ohio University Gets Involved With 2016 Dublin Irish Festival

The College of Health Sciences and Professions, the College of Business and the College of Fine Arts (Tantrum Theater) have partnered together to be a sponsor at the 2016 Dublin Irish Festival. The three colleges will sponsor the Ohio University Dublin Den located in the south grounds of the festival between the Celtic Rock Stage and the Greenfield Sports Area. Each college will hold events for all OHIO alumni and friends in the OHIO Dublin Den tent throughout the weekend and in between events festivalgoers can use the covered seating area to relax and enjoy the scheduled activities in the surrounding area.

Selected events from the festival:

Friday, August 5
8 p.m. – Tantrum Theater production Dancing at Lughnasa (Dublin Recreation Center)

Saturday, August 6
6 – 6:30 p.m. – College of Fine Arts Tantrum Theater pre-show reception 
6:30 – 7:00 p.m.   – Tantrum Theater guest speaker on Irish theater
8 p.m. – Tantrum Theater production Dancing at Lughnasa (Dublin Recreation Center)

Sunday, August 7
11 a.m.-2 p.m. – College of Health Sciences and Professions Wellness Event
• Photos with Rufus, OHIO swag giveaways, blood pressure screenings by Physician Assistant students, healthy snacks with dietetics/nutrition students, CHSP gift basket drawing
12:30-3:30 p.m. – College of Business Graduate Programs and Executive Education reception
