The Philo Electrics (4-1) dominated the John Glenn Little Muskies (1-4) 35-7 this Friday night. The stands were packed to watch the MVL matchup. John Glenn hoped to redeem themselves as it lost to Philo last year 14-10.

The Electrics came in hot from the beginning and their offense was unstoppable all night. Philo’s offense is what made this game tonight and separated the two teams so early. Within the very first minutes of the game Nate Baker ran in a touchdown, giving Philo an early lead. Nate Baker was definitely a key role in the Electrics success tonight. Along with Baker, Dylan Tweedy and Dakota Perry also made major contributions tonight offensively, both also scoring touchdowns in the first half.

Earlier this week, Philo Coach Dirk Lincicome said that he just wanted to focus on the ball. He wanted to make sure that they weren’t beating themselves and that instead, they just went in and took care of business. He said in order to prepare for this game they wanted to not worry about who they’re playing or things that they cant control, but instead focus on being the best that they can be. It looks like they did that tonight.

Next week Philo will play Crooksville at home and John Glenn will travel away to play at Morgan High School.
