Alexander threw down a stout defense, suffocating the Southeastern Panthers’ offense as the Spartans rolled to a 55-29 victory.

It was senior night in Albany, and Chace Harris made sure he left his mark in his final regular season game. Harris terrorized the Panthers collecting six steals, while as a team Alexander forced 18 total turnovers and 12 steals.

Alexander held the Panthers to 1-11 shooting from behind the arc, while cashing in on 5-11 of its own three-pointers.

Chace Harris and the Spartans went off in the fourth quarter. Alexander scored 20 points in the final eight minutes, something the Panthers were not able to do in the first three quarters as they only had 18 points going into the last quarter.

Chace Harris finished the night with a game high 19 points to go along with his aforementioned six steals and added on four rebounds.

Not a single Panther scored double digits, thanks to a dominate Spartan defense, but Southeastern’s Zach Bodaey was able to collect eight points.

Ryan Davidson, when combined with Chace Harris, outscored Southeastern on their own as Davidson tacked on 12 points.

Senior Wyatt Radford got in on the action as well by kicking the game off with a three-pointer, a lead that Alexander would not give up. Even senior Genesis Williams got in on the action as he knocked back a big three-pointer and had two huge blocks down in the paint.

Alexander finished one game above .500 in the regular season, with a final record of 11-10. It will face off against the River Valley Raiders Saturday, Feb. 18 in Jackson.
