Enjoy these photos from the grand opening celebration of Jorma and Vanessa Kaukonen's Psylodelic Gallery at the Fur Peace Ranch in Pomeroy, Ohio, on June 29, 2013.

The art gallery is built inside a grain bin and features 1960s art and relics.

Jorma Kaukonen, best known for his work with Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Athens County music fans are about to get the "Royale" treatment from Stuart's Opera House. This Friday, the venue's Free Summer Concert Series kicks off with the "funkin' kings of rock and soul," The Royales. The show is being held in conjunction with Final Fridays, Nelsonville's monthly gallery hop and arts event.

Over the past few years, there have been a number of 30-something artists emerging into solo careers after the breakup of the successful string bands of their youth.

The Watson siblings and Chris Thiele from Nickel Creek come to mind, as do Mike and Ruthy from the Mammals, and most recently, Aoife O'Donovan from Crooked Still. 

Many of these musicians came from a fertile musical background and were raised listening to, playing and singing traditional and folk songs.

On this episode of Crossing Boundaries Extra, host Mark Hellenberg talks with Canadian singer-songwriter Catherine MacLellan, who performs a handful of songs with guitarist Chris Gauthier at the 2013 Nelsonville Music Festival.

MacLellan, who performed on all three stages at this year's NMF, has won several East Coast Music Association awards and was the Solo Artist of the Year at the 2009 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Here, she and Gauthier share stories and tunes on the porch of a rustic log cabin at Hocking College's Robbins Crossing.

Ohio-based band Over The Rhine returns to Stuart’s Opera House this Saturday for a special acoustic show at 8 p.m.

The group, which performed at Stuart's almost six years ago and made a stop at the 2011 Nelsonville Music Festival, is currently touring in support of its latest release, Meet Me at the Edge of the World.

"It’s a collection of songs that required some extra real estate," said pianist/guitarist/bassist Linford Detweiler of the latest product of his two-decade musical collaboration with longtime partner Karin Bergquist.

Robbins Crossing’s log cabins are well-known by Nelsonville Music Festival attendees. Now the charming buildings are gaining notoriety for a Hocking College music video series. This past semester, a group of students blended 19th Century surroundings with 21st Century media to create a five-part web series titled Robbins Crossing Sessions. (VIDEOS)
