The Ohio University School of Music has announced that Solungga Fang-Tzu Liu, assistant professor of Piano at Bowling Green State University, will present a piano recital at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Glidden Recital Hall.

The recital will feature works by Jan Ladislav Dussek, Leoš Janáek and Charles Tomlinson Griffes.

On Friday, Aug. 31, Columbus, Ohio's The Spikedrivers performed at the Final Fridays art gala on Nelsonville's Public Square.

Traditionally, Labor Day Weekend in Athens has meant moving vans, out-of-towners driving the wrong way up one-way streets and long lines at grocery stores...but not much in the way of live music.
