On this edition of Conversations from Studio B, Jessica Makosky talks with the founder of the Diamond Music Festival, Nick Collura.

Now in its 14th year, the festival is held at Lake Logan and features a diverse lineup of area musicians playing everything from bluegrass to R&B and hard rock.

For some Athens County residents, the name of Southeast Engine's new EP will conjure up images of Route 50 and the former Big Chimney Bakery. For everyone else, it's simply another in a long line of outstanding recordings from the Athens-based band.

Since its release on July 31, the four-song EP Canaanville has already received national attention, including a mention in the AV Club's Must-Hear Rundown.

An intensive one-week chamber music festival inspired by the spirit of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will take place Aug. 6 through Aug 11 in Athens, Ohio.

The Mozart on the Green Festival and Academy will host renowned musicians from around the continent to teach young musicians during the day and present world-class chamber music concerts at night.

The evening performances will be hour-long casual concerts, hosted nightly in several different Athens locations for audiences of all ages.

This Saturday, Neil Diamond and Etta James will rub shoulders with Stevie Nicks, Garth Brooks and Ray Charles during A Night With the Legends, a popular annual fundraiser for Stuart's Opera House.

Now in its fifth year, the show features Athens and Nelsonville celebrities paying tribute to some of music's biggest stars.

Organized by Athens native and Stuart's Opera House board member Alex Couladis, the event started as a USO fundraiser at the Athens Elks Lodge before becoming one of Stuart's most popular shows and an important source of revenue for the non-profit theater.
