Columbus, Ohio's Angela Perley is prolific by anyone's standards. Since 2010, she has released four EPs, toured throughout the U.S., produced a handful of music videos, received overseas airplay on the BBC and is preparing to record her full-length debut.

Perley, who got her start in Athens, will be returning for a show at Casa Cantina this Friday. WOUB's Bryan Gibson talked with Perley about her new CD and what's ahead for 2013.

2012 has been a good year for music; perhaps not as great compared to others, but good.

I have been looking through my CD collection and past Radio Free Athens set lists to see if there are any recordings that have blown my mind to the point where I haven't been able to get them out of my CD player.

I can't point to any one disc that has achieved that status, but that's not to say that there weren't any albums I've liked; there were plenty.

Here we go!
