We Are All Made of Stars (Stardust to stardust)

Noted astronomer, author and TV host Carl Sagan’s statement, ‘We are all star stuff.’ is examined. Like humans, stars have a life cycle – they are born, live and die. Students are shown that all of the elements (excepting of hydrogen and helium) that make up everything in the universe, even us, are created during the life of a star. This episode explains how these elements are released into space at the end of a star’s life and end up making up other stars, planets, and living organisms.
