Southeast Ohio History Day at Burr Oak Lodge

This year the Southeast Ohio History Center presents: Harvesting and Agricultural Heritage of Southeast Ohio.  Please join us at the Burr Oak Lodge Saturday, November 12 from 10:00am-5:00pm.

Several local historical groups will have booths relating to their regions like Little Cities of Black Diamonds, so please join us!

We think you will really enjoy this years programs!  Here’s the lineup:

10:30am-11:30am  Selective Migration and the Evolution of Ohio’s Regional Cultural Landscapes with Tim Anderson, Associate Professor of Geography, Ohio University.

1:00pm-2:00pm-  How Owls and Other Critter Affect Agriculture with Pat Quackenbush, Naturalist for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

3:00pm-4:00pm-  Early Agriculture in the Region with Paul Patton, Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Food Studies, Director of OHIO Archaeological Field School, Ohio University.

Burr Oak Naturalist, Julie Gee will guide us on a beautiful fall stroll. Time to be announced.
