Terry Fleming is Executive Director of the Ohio Petroleum Council. He joined the Council in December of 1985 as Associate Director and was appointed Executive Director in December of 1986. Prior to his joining the Council, Terry was Director of Legislative Affairs for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Kruse is an assistant professor of Environmental Studies in the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University. Kruse holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Geosciences from Newcastle University, and a B.C. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Geological Sciences from Ohio University. Kruse has 15 years of experience in characterization and mitigation of post-mining and post-industrial water quality impacts.
Dr. Chase has B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State. He is a professor and chair of the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Geology at Marietta College. He has served in that position since 1978.
Dr. Debatin is professor at Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and director of the journalism honors tutorial program. He teaches multimedia/online journalism, media ethics, science and environmental journalism, media theory, and media and diversity. Dr. Debatin represents a citizen’s group “Slow Down Fracking in Athens County.”
