Ten Candidates In Ohio University Dean Searches Scheduled To Come To Athens

Ten candidates for three upper-level administrative positions at Ohio University will all be visiting campus over the course of the next couple of weeks.

Three candidates for the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, three candidates for the Scripps College of Communication dean and four candidates for the dean of the Graduate College will be coming to Athens starting the week of November 7.

In the College of Arts and Sciences Dean search, current Interim Dean Howard Dewald will be interviewed November 7 and 8, University of Cincinnati Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies Robert Frank will be in Athens November 9 and 10 and Virginia Tech Department of Physics Chair Beate Schmittmann will be in town November 15 and 16.

In the Scripps College of Communication dean search, Kansas State University Journalism and Mass Communication School Director Angela Powers will come to Athens November 7 and 8, and University of Florida Graduate School Associate Dean Laurence Alexander is scheduled November 9 and 10.

And in the search for the dean of the Graduate College, current Interim Dean Joseph Shields starts things off November 7 and 8, Commonwealth Medical College Associate Dean for Research and Economic Development Daniel Flynn comes to town November 9 and 10, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Vice Chancellor of Research and Economic Development Colin Scanes will be in Athens November 15 and 16 and University of Toledo Vice President of Government Relations and Geography Frank Calzonetti will wrap things up with a visit on November 17 and 18.
