In this edition of intouch, Morris Dees, founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center, talks with host Janice Windborne about the Center's efforts to combat hate, intolerance, and discrimination through education and litigation.

The Southern Poverty Law Center's projects include the Intelligence Project, which tracks the activities of more than 500 racist and neo-Nazi groups. landmark lawsuits against the groups that promote and inspire violence have effectively shut down some of the most virulent hate groups in the United States.

The educational project, Teaching Tolerance, is used by more than 400,000 educators in the United States. many of the educational materials are available free to teachers. More information about the Teaching Tolerance project can be found at Teaching Tolerance.
