James Hill, Assistant Director of the the Athens Co. Public Libraries, hosts a discussion with Heather Johnson and Ryan Spellman of the Athens and Nelsonville Libraries, respectively, about upcoming library events, most notably the Steampunk Spectacle, a two-day, multifaceted event celebrating all things Steampunk. Mary Kneier and Ginger Schmalenberg of The Gathering Place, Athens' community mental health wellness outreach house, stop by Studio B to talk with Robin Barnes about their attempt to break into the Guinness World Records with their creation of the worlds largest pom-pom. The Gathering Place hopes this event will help to recognize the importance of community mental health, as well as put Athens on the map as a world partner in mental wellness. 

The event will be open to the public, and will take place Saturday, August 9, 2014 starting at 10am at The Market on State.

Levi and Connie Brown talk with host Robin Barnes about Inspirefest 2014, a festival in Logan, OH aimed at raising homelessness awareness in Hocking County. Featuring 16 live musical acts, raffles, a Poker Run, and a Cardboard City, the goal of Inspirefest is to raise funds for Hocking County's only homeless shelter, Emily House. Nancy Wright, President of Emily House, talks about the shelter, the struggles the shelter faces now and in the future, and all the ways the Emily House has helped the Logan community.
