Dr. Arthur Fine, emeritus professor of philosophy at the University of Washington, kicks off this season's Frontiers in Science Lecture Series at Ohio University. His topic is "What Was Einstein Thinking?" Dr. Fine is an expert on Albert Einstein and Einstein's evolution from being considered a genius by his colleagues to being considered a "heretic" by other physicists for some of his work later in his life.

This fall, Ohio University's College of Arts and Sciences incorporated the use of themes to inform undergraduate curriculum planning. Using themes to inform an undergraduate curriculum gives students the opportunity to fulfill their general education requirements while engaging in topics and subjects in which they are interested and about which they are passionate. Kelee Riesbeck reviews this new approach toward education, the impact this will have on undergraduate learning at OHIO, and the nuts and bolts of the Food Studies theme.
