Ira Flatow, the host and executive editor of Science Friday on NPR and WOUB radio, visits Ohio University this week to talk about “Communicating Science to a Science Challenged World.”

He will speak on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, at 7:30 p.m. in Templeton-Blackburn Memorial Auditorium as part of the Kennedy Lecture Series.

Flatow’s career dates back to 1969 and he has spent over four decades as an award winning television and radio host of science oriented programming.  He also is an author of several books.

Kelee Riesbeck hosts Dr. Lynn Harter, Associate Director for Undergraduate Studies at OHIO’s Scripps College of Communication and lead producer of The Courage of Creativity, a series of documentary films that recognize the power of art programming for individuals experiencing uncertainty and vulnerability. Riesbeck’s conversation with Harter focuses on the first film in the series, “A Beautiful Remedy”,  an intimate look at the Arts in Medicine Program at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
