As a part of the 6th annual Schuneman Symposium put on by E.W. Scripps School of Journalism this year, John Sale is here to present: Data R People 2. Sale is a visual editor of commercial appeal in Memphis. He has been a picture editor for over 27 years, graduating from Ohio University in 1980.

Sale talks to Tom Hodson about the major culture shifts from the technical revolution, why still images are still relevant, and finding photojournalists in unexpected places.

Sara Quinn is an affiliate at the Poynter Institute  and consultant for Pixelbots, a company that offers consultation and training for media companies. Quinn is to speak at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism's 6th annual Schuneman Symposium on this year's theme: Data Visualization. Quinn has been a journalist and educator all over the world, from Madrid to Wichita, for over 20 years.

From Silent Spring to Silent Night: A Tale of Toads and Men is the lecture Dr. Tyrone B. Hayes will be giving for Ohio University's Frontiers in Science Lecture Series.

A renowned biologist from the University of California, Berkley, Dr. Hayes became well known when he became the target of persecution from chemical manufacturer Syngenta, after his discovery of the altered reproductive developments it causes in frogs.

Athens County Children's Services has teamed up with Athens County Bando & Kickboxing Club to raise money to support the "Lace Up For Kids" Project and Athens Bando facility improvements. Club teacher Pat Gryszka and event coordinator Robin Webb talk with host/kickboxing student Ann Kyle about the importance of Project that allows for children to sign up for a pair of good shoes, along with their joint effort of promoting community health and wellness in Athens. The fun run/walk will begin behind the East State Street CVS on East Park Drive.
