Wayne National Forest moves location -- January 8, 2001

Construction is completed and the Wayne National Forest is moving to its new office.

The facility is located along US 33 between Athens and Nelsonville. Wayne Supervisor Mary Reddan says packing got underway today and expects it'll take about 2 weeks to get situated in the new location.

She calls it a great spot to better serve the public. And she says the office can serve as a welcome center for southeastern Ohio.

A grand opening is scheduled for the end of April.
