On this episode of Conversations from Studio B, host Wendy McVicker talks with guests Stacia Davis Moore and Sara Gilbert about the Ohio Arts Council’s new initiative for seniors and the elderly.

“Artful Aging Ohio” was created to connect senior adults with teaching artists to learn about the arts and engage in hands-on art making.

Seniors can get involved in many different activities, such as physical art, dance, and specifically, two creative writing workshops with Wendy McVicker, who is an Athens-based poet.

The first workshop meets on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Laurels of Athens, located at  70 Columbus Circle.

The other workshop takes place Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks (ACENet), at 94 Columbus Road, Athens.
