Crime Solvers Anonymous Nov. Crimes Of The Month

The Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous group is highlighting a series of crimes for the month of November in hopes of getting more information.

 
The Wesbanco bank on Richland Avenue was robbed on the afternoon of September 6.  Athens City police describe the suspect as a white male, clean shaven, between the ages of 20 and 30.  He was wearing a black baseball cap, a green flannel shirt and a jeans.
 
Athens County sheriff's deputies responded to a series of residential burglaries and car break-ins in The Plains that occurred in early October.
 
An arson occurred on Ohio University's campus on October 19 inside True House, a residence hall on South Green. Ohio University police say the fire started in the common area of the dorm around 3:45 a.m.
 
And Ohio University police are investigating a total of nine cases of vehicle vandalism.  The cars were parked in the commuter lots of South Green.  Police say the damage included broken windshield wipers, scratches, and broken rear view mirrors.  The incidents occurred in the overnight hours of October 21 and early morning hours of October 22.
 
Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to call Crime Solvers Anonymous at 740-594-3331.  Information that leads to the arrest and indictment of suspects will result in a $2,000 reward.
