Graffiti Wall Posting Draws Outrage from Student Group
< < Back to graffitiMembers of the Ohio University Hispanic-Latina Student Union painted over a message on the graffiti wall that stated “Build The Wall! Trump 2016.” One Ohio University student beat them to the punch and spray-painted over the word “build” and added an expletive word before the word “Trump.”
Members and staff of the union met earlier in the afternoon to discuss how to approach the newly painted graffiti. They expressed outrage and frustration to the posting. The one student that did beat the group to painting the saying over said, “This just caused so much anger and frustration that I needed to go out and buy a can of spray paint.”
The Hispanic-Latina Student Union painted “Together We Are Stronger” over the Trump 2016 sign.
