Allie LaForce, a 2011 graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism through the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University, has been featured as one of the “Most Interesting People 2012” by Cleveland Magazine.

LaForce, a broadcast journalism major and native of Vermillion, Ohio, was involved in a number of WOUB sports shows, played on the OHIO women’s basketball team for two seasons and was active on campus. She also served as a Nike field reporter while at Ohio University. Prior to attending college, she was crowned both Miss Ohio Teen USA and Miss Teen USA in 2005.

Hodson, who served as director of the E.W. Scripps School for the majority of LaForce's time as a student, remembers her well and looks forward to seeing what LaForce does professionally.

"We agree totally with Cleveland Magazine,” said Tom Hodson, director and general manager of WOUB Public Media. “Allie is most certainly a person to watch in 2012.”

LaForce is a sports reporter with the Cleveland Fox affiliate, Fox 8,  where she also hosts Friday Night Touchdown, which covers high school football games throughout Northeast Ohio.

“We are proud of her but not surprised,” said Hodson. “She has terrific abilities and a wealth of talent and her career has no upper limits."
