Wandering Souls: Tet '68 Remembered
(a television documentary)
Combat Veterans may seem to others to glorify battle
or glorify war when telling a war story, but inwardly they're not, they are mourning the
loss of their friends and thanking God that they were spared." Quote from Athens,
Ohio Resident and Vietnam Veteran Dave Garrod
Wandering Souls is a spiritual journey of Dave Garrod and six of his fellow
comrades from the 25th Infantry who return to the Tan Son Nhut battlefield 30 years after
the first day of the Tet Offensive. Seeking personal peace, through a commemoration of all
lives lost, the men explore the Vietnamese concept of "wandering
souls." They pay tribute to souls of both American and Vietnamese who died that
day, to parts of their own souls they had left behind, and to the many other Wandering
Souls destined to return.
