80-Year-Old Woman Taken By Helicopter To Columbus Hospital

The elderly Coolville woman, who sheriff's deputies say was stabbed in her own home, is now at a Columbus hospital.
Sheriff Pat Kelly says she was taken to Grant Medical Center due to the nature of her stab wounds.
The 80-year-old woman remains in stable condition.
Kelly says the woman called 911 at around noon yesterday and reported someone entered her Brandeberry Road home, beat her and stabbed her.
The woman told the dispatcher she could not remember anything except having a light shined in her face.
Her purse, which had $300 inside, is missing.
Kelly says the victim had wounds to the face and chest.
Her name is not being released due to the investigation.

Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly says the 80-year-old woman called 911 at 11:47 this morning and reported someone entered her Brandeberry Road home, beat her and stabbed her.
The woman told the dispatcher she could not remember anything except having a light shined in her face. Her purse, which had $300 inside, is missing. Officers believe robbery was a motive.
