Counselors are at a Charleston school to assist students on the first day of classes after a fire killed two of their classmates.

On Monday, as many as eight counselors and 20 administrative staff were at the Shoals Elementary School where 7-year-old Bryan Timothy "B.J." Camp and his 8-year-old sister, Keahana, attended. They were among seven children and two adults killed in Saturday's fire. Among the dead were their mother, 26-year-old Alisha Carter-Camp, and their 3-year-old brother, Jeremiah.

Secretary Diane Mitchell says classmates made drawings for a memory wall in the school cafeteria.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Funeral arrangements were incomplete Monday.
