Marietta Couple Arrested For Sexual Battery Of A Teenager

A Marietta couple was arrested last night on a third degree felony charge of sexual battery of a teenager.
Daniel Hess, 45, of Mount Tom Road, and his live-in girlfriend Lacey Day, 30, are accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female family member on three occasions beginning in late 2010.
According to Washington County Sheriff Larry Minks, the victim stated she engaged in various sexual acts with both Hess and Day while she visited their residence on those multiple occasions.
The sheriff said that Day admitted to being involved in sexual acts with the teenager and Hess during the three incidents. He added that Hess would not make any specific statements about what transpired, but admitted that the sexual assault did occur.
Both suspects are being held without bond pending their initial court appearance this afternoon.
