The executive director of the Ohio University Alumni Association is leaving the university at the end of the month.

Graham Stewart, who is also OU's assistant vice president for alumni relations, said he has accepted a position at the University of Arkansas as the associate vice chancellor for alumni and the executive director of the Arkansas Alumni Association.

"It's been a great chapter [at OU], but this will be a wonderful chapter for me at the University of Arkansas" said Stewart.

Stewart said that Bryan Benchoff, president and CEO of the Ohio University Foundation, will set direction for oversight of the alumni association while a national search is conducted for Stewart's replacement.

"It's been a wonderful four years, and we have accomplished a great deal in that time and built a stronger foundation for the future of the Alumni Association," Stewart wrote to his colleagues in an e-mail.

Stewart says his last day at the university is April 27. He began his position at OU in 2008.

At least nine OU deans and administrators have left the university since May of last year.
