Ohio EPA Hears Resident Concerns For Proposed Water Project

A proposed project by the Putnam Community Water Corporation will address elevated nitrate levels in the water.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency addressed concerns from Devola citizens.
 
These plans add a new reverse osmosis water treatment system that discharges reject water into Muskingum River.
 
The wastewater discharge permit makes sure discharge meets all applicable water quality standards.
 
Ohio EPA is accepting written comments through June 18.
