Athens County towns, townships and school districts are trying to get 18 tax issues on the November ballot.
Today was the deadline for filing the paperwork with the Board of Elections.
Most of the 18 are township proposals for fire protection and road and cemetary maintenance.
Coolville, Jacksonville and Amesville also are going after levies.
Coolville's is for maintaining streets.
Jacksonville and Amesville have two each -- for current expenses and police and fire protection.
Nelsonville is also asking for a current expenses levy.
Two school districts are wanting tax levies - Athens City and Trimble Local.
The Board of Elections will meet August 16 to consider the filings.
