Forget Gridiron Glory Player of the Year, Joey Burrow for Heisman!
The Athens High School sophomore quarterback has been unstoppable so far this year as he has led the Bulldogs to a 8-1 start, including eight straight wins.
Not only are the Bulldogs winning but they are doing it in unbelievable fashion putting up 57 points a game, and Burrow has been the main reason why.
Burrow has been torching defenses all year completed completing an unbelievable 70 percent of his passes on the year for 2, 049 yards and a remarkable 32 touchdowns.
Burrow isn’t afraid to spread the wealth either. The Athens quarterback has completed at least six touchdowns passes to four different wide receivers.
Burrow just isn’t a pocket passer he can also tuck the ball and take off. The sophomore signal caller has run for 433 yards and an additional six touchdowns.
The first year starter has proven to be the perfect field general to run the Bulldogs spread no huddle attack. For an underclassman Burrow has ice water in his veins. Don’t expect the Athens quarterback to make any mistakes either as Burrow is wise well beyond his years. Burrow will look to continue his stellar season and lead the Bulldogs to their second consecutive TVC-Ohio title against Nelsonville-York Friday.
