Thousands of dollars of cash and drugs are off the street after what police are calling the largest heroin bust in Pomeroy history.

Pomeroy Police Chief Mark Proffitt says police arrested Larry Wilson II, 34, of Detroit and Miranda Hawley, 19, of Pomeroy in the bust.

Proffitt says at Wilson's home officers found $35,000 in cash, a large amount of heroin, and a loaded .45 caliber pistol.

Officers have collected so much heroin they can't count it all, but estimate as much as 32 grams of heroin and 65 grams of marijuana were seized.

Police found a large amount of drug paraphernalia at Hawley's home with the same packaging as the heroin at Wilson's home.

Proffitt says he believes Hawley was the go-between for Larry Wilson and his customers.

Hawley is being held in the Middleport Jail and Wilson is being held in the Washington County Jail.
