Blankenship Named To Doak Walker Watch List
< < Back toOhio’s Beau Blankenship earned more preseason recognition Thursday, making his way onto the Doak Walker Award Watch List.
The Doak Walker Award is awarded to the nation’s best college running back.
Blankenship, Ohio’s leading rusher from a year ago, racked up 1,604 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2012.
The redshirt senior from Oklahoma also recently made the 2013 Maxwell Award Watch List.
Blankenship is one of seven Mid-American Conference running backs to make the Walker list.
The Bobcats start the season Sept. 1 at Louisville in a nationally-televised contest against the Louisville Cardinals.
