An early Saturday morning fire in Chesapeake, Ohio is being called suspicious by fire officials.

It happened on Eaton Road shortly after midnight on Saturday at an abandoned home

Fire officials on scene tells WSAZ.com, the fire seems suspicious and they've called the Ohio State Fire Marshal to investigate. "We did find some unusual items around the structure so he will come in and try to confirm our thoughts at this time," says Chesapeake-Union Township Fire Department Chief, Ed Webb.

A neighbor says he was cutting grass earlier, when he saw a door was open. He says he also saw large trash bags outside the vacant home.

No injuries were reported in the fire.
