< < Back toThe Ohio Attorney General says the body of a woman found nearly 20 years ago has been identified through DNA.
Attorney General Mike DeWine says the identification of the Youngstown woman was made with a Bureau of Criminal Investigation program that matches DNA from family members of missing people with DNA from unidentified remains.
DeWine says the remains of the woman were identified this month as 35-year-old Jacqueline Rowe, whose body was found in Youngstown in December 1996 after she disappeared earlier that year.
The state program dubbed Linking Individuals Not Known has identified 23 sets of remains since it began in 1999.
