It was a mild start to 2014 Wednesday with temperatures in the upper 40s and mid 50s but winter weather is back in the forecast for the remainder of the week.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory that will be in effect from 1:00 PM Thursday to 7:00 AM Friday.

That advisory is in effect for all of the WOUB coverage area in Ohio and most of West Virginia as snow accumulations of two to four inches are expected during the period.

A mixture of rain and snow is expected to change to all snow during the afternoon Thursday and continue into Thursday night.

Untreated surfaces could become snow and ice covered especially Thursday night

Be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibility during the advisory period.
