Rio Wins In Overtime, 99-96, Over The Cumberlands

A storm of fans in the Newt Oliver Arena erupted in a unison cheer when the final buzzer rung signifying a 99-96 overtime RedStorm victory over the Cumberlands.
After dropping a heartbreaking loss to Georgetown on Thursday night, Rio desperately needed a confidence boosting, bounce back win on Saturday night. Rio came away with a close 66-65 win the last time these two teams met and Saturday proved to be similar.
The RedStorm improve to 15-7 overall and 8-3 in the Mid-South Conference. The RedStorm will travel to Shawnee State on Feb. 8 to take on the Bears.
